Welcome

The I-95 at Central Boulevard Interchange Project has been approved by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). FHWA granted Location and Design Concept Acceptance (LDCA) for the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study prepared for the interchange project on November 28, 2016. For more information, please visit the Documents & Publications page.

The project is currently in the final design phase and involves a new diamond interchange at I-95 and Central Boulevard, including new Collector-Distributor roadways between Military Trail and Donald Ross Road as well as improvements to Central Boulevard. Mainline I-95 roadway improvements will consist of pavement resurfacing and widening. The existing Central Boulevard bridge spanning I-95 will be widened and will include two 11‐foot wide through lanes, two 11‐foot wide left turn lanes, a 7-foot wide buffered bicycle lane, and a 10‐foot wide sidewalk in each direction.
